Fans don body paint to support Cards

Chase Jones believes nobody wearing body paint is expected to be sane.

In high school, Jones was not allowed to paint. When he came to Ball State, he immediately wanted to try it.

"I thought it was a good way to show school spirit," he said.

He painted his entire face and body and spelled out "Go." His roommate did the same thing and wrote "BSU" on his body.

Jones said he wished he could find more people to paint their bodies, so if someone left the game, he could still have a phrase that made sense.

"[My roommate] left halfway through the game, so I was just 'Go' all alone, which didn't really work out, but it was fun," he said.

Rebecca Borchert wanted to paint her body because it was different from only wearing the school colors.

Borchert painted "BSU" on her front and "Chirp, chirp" on her back.

"It was really cool because I got thrown up at that game," she said. "When I got thrown up, you could see 'Chirp, chirp.'"
