Despite rumors that Mo's Tavern has changed locations or gone out of business, it will reopen upon completion of repairs to a broken water main in the building.
Zita Kramer, the property manager for Mo's, said it ran into a multitude of problems that contributed to its closure more than a week ago.
She said Mo's management didn't have the money to immediately pay for the repairs. The plumber was on vacation for several days once they had the money, and the water main broke again, she said.
She said the cost of the repairs totaled more than $3,000.
Senior telecommunications major Ben Friedman said he was relieved to hear Mo's would reopen. He didn't go there as often as other bars in the Village, but he said he still made an occasional visit because it was a fun place to go.
"Mo's is different than any other bar in the Village," he said. "It's never as crowded, and everyone seems more laid back."
Kramer said there was no time frame for the bar to reopen.
