Administrator to leave university

Tom Morrison, associate vice president for human resources and state relations, said he is leaving Ball State University after taking a position as associate vice president for public affairs and government relations at Indiana University.

"This university is absolutely great and the administration is very supportive of me seeking this opportunity," Morrison said.

He is responsible for government relations at Ball State, he said, but will focus soley on government relations at IU.

"After a fairly lengthy search Tom was head and shoulders above all the other candidates," Assistant Vice President for University Communications at IU Larry MacIntyre said.

Morrison has spent 17 years at Ball State occupying multiple administrative positions. He said he will stay at Ball State through Oct. 10 or 12.
