The Mid-American Conference named three Ball State baseball players to 2008 all-MAC teams, the league office announced Wednesday.
Senior center fielder Wayne Bond Jr. and senior pitcher Kyle Heyne were named to the first team, while sophomore catcher Zach Dygert was selected to the second team.
During the regular season, Bond batted .337 with 13 home runs and 53 RBIs. Heyne recorded eight saves this year, extending his Ball State record to 32 in his career. Dygert batted .285 for the regular season with 11 home runs and 35 RBIs.
The three players selected to all-MAC teams were the first since 2005, when five Cardinals players were named. All three players received the honor for the first time.
