For the first time in four years the No. 10 Ball State University men's volleyball team will play in the conference championship match.
The Cardinals defeated No. 15 Lewis University 30-28, 30-26, 27-30, 31-29 in the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament semifinals on Thursday in Columbus, Ohio.
Outside attacker Patrick Durbin had a career and match-high 30 kills.
Ball State will play the MIVA championship match against No. 8 Ohio State University at 7 p.m. Saturday in Columbus, Ohio.
