MEN'S BASKETBALL: Rockets soar into Muncie

Ball State to play host to Toledo at 2 p.m. Sunday at Worthen Arena

In the first meeting this season between Ball State and Toledo, the Rockets won 58-54. Ball State led much of the game, but with 5:17 remaining, Toledo took the lead for good. The Cardinals had the ball three times in the final minute of the game but failed to get off a shot on any of the possessions. Sunday's meeting will be the 73rd in the all-time series between Ball State and Toledo. The Rockets lead the series 39-33 and have won the last four games.

Ball State's 76 points against Buffalo is its second-highest mark of the season, having scored 82 points against Central Michigan. Stovall scored 22 points at Buffalo, his highest total in league play this season.

Last game: Toledo enters the game 8-15 (5-6 MAC). The Rockets are coming off a 54-52 victory against Ohio in which they erased a 10-point deficit in the final seven minutes. Toledo is one of three teams in the west division tied for second place with a 5-6 conference record.
