Two to five inches of snow expected

The National Weather Service is predicting a total cumulation of two to five inches of snow with one to three inches on the ground when Ball State University students wake up today.

Ed Terrell, a meteorological technician at the weather service, said there was a snow advisory until 6 p.m. Wednesday. No ice was expected to fall during this time, so students driving to class should not worry about that, he said.

Wednesday night would have decreasing clouds, and Thursday night would have a 50 percent chance of snow, he said. Friday would have a 30 percent chance of snow, Terrell said, and Saturday, Monday and Tuesday would have chances of rain.
