When the Ball State University men's basketball team visits Terre Haute Saturday night to face Indiana State University, it'll be looking to avoid writing a chapter in the Ball State history books.
The Cardinals are 0-7, and a loss Saturday would send them to the first 0-8 start in school history.
Ball State is coming off a loss at Purdue University in which it shot for its highest percentage of the year. The Cardinals made 47 percent of their field goal attempts against the Boilermakers. However, Purdue's 10 3-point shots were enough to overcome Ball State's improved offense.
Ball State also improved its rebounding margin in the last two games. The Cardinals outrebounded both Valparaiso University and Purdue in those games, the first two times this season the Cardinals have done so.
Ball State's game against the Sycamores last season was an overtime victory for the Cardinals, clinched when then-senior forward D'Andre Peyton made a 3-pointer late in the extra period to provide the key points.
The game will tip off at 7 p.m., and will be televised by WIPB-TV.
