Sigma Kappa sorority will sell lollipops for $1 this week, and all proceeds go to Alzheimer's disease research.
The sale will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Wednesday in the Atrium.
Foundation Chairwoman Katie Hennessey said the sorority sold lollipops when they walked at Minnetrista to raise money for research, but selling them on campus was the main philanthropy that went toward the cause. Sigma Kappa raised about $200 for Alzheimer's disease research last year, she said.
"Alzheimer's is a debilitating disease that affects everyone whether they have it or someone close to them [does]," Hennessey said. "It's one of the most prevalent diseases in the elderly."
