303 N. Martin Street burned for 45 minutes early Friday morning.
Muncie Fire Department battalion chief Jim Clevenger said the fire started at 12:44 a.m. and was extinguished at 1:30 a.m.The fire didn't damage any neighboring houses or lead to any injuries, he said.Clevenger said the fire started from a downed power line.
The owner of the house said it hadn't been occupied in eight years and was being remodeled. The property was worth $70,000 and was insured, he said.
