CLEVELAND - Ball State University junior Julie DeMuth was named to the Mid-American Conference All-Tournament team following the Cardinals 67-53 loss to Bowling Green on Saturday.
DeMuth joined Bowling Green's Carin Horne, Ali Mann and Kate Achter and Nothern Illinois Stephanie Raymond in the honor. Horne was named tournament Most Valuable Player.
"It feels great," Horne said. "This is my first one and I can't express how it feels."
DeMuth becomes the first Cardinal to make the team since 2003 when Tamara Bowie and Kate Endress made the squad.
Aside from Endress, and Bowie the only other Ball State player to make the All-Tournament team was Jenny Eckart, who made the team in 1989 and 1990.
