Ball State University fell to the University of Kentucky in the second round of the WNIT with a score of 85 to 82.
The Cardinals were led by Lisa Rusche with a game-high 23 points and 10 rebounds. Julie DeMuth supplemented her with 22 points and 7 rebounds. DeMuth also scored her thousandth point, making her the 18th Ball State player in program history to score 1,000 points.
Also playing well for the Cardinals was Kelsey Corbin, who appeared in her last college game. Corbin fouled out with 17 points and 13 assists.
Kentucky's Sarah Elliot led with 18 points. Carly Ormerod scored 13 points and added 11 assists and 5 rebounds.
