Snow emergency continues until 6 a.m.

The Delaware County Commissioners, Highway Superintendent and others in the field have decided to keep the snow emergency in effect until 6 a.m. Thursday.

The decision to keep the snow emergency until Thursday is to restrict unnecessary travel on county roads and allow the County Highway Department to continue plowing their work.

Private contractors have been asked to help with snow removal and make roads accessible for people to leave their homes and go to work, school or other important errands.

The Delaware County Commissioners also will open the County Building and Justice Center for regular business hours Thursday. Employees are asked to come into work at their regular scheduled times.
