WEST LAFAYETTE (AP) - Police officers, friends and family members searched around the Purdue University campus for a freshman student who authorities said was last seen over the weekend.
Tracking dogs and a helicopter were used Wednesday in the search for Wade Steffey, 19, of Bloomington. He was reported missing after friends returned from the school's three-day break for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday and could not find him.
The last sighting police had of him was during a party at the Phi Kappa Theta fraternity house early Saturday. About 1 a.m. Saturday, someone withdrew $50 from his bank account at an ATM in a nearby campus dining hall.
