BASEBALL: Player named second team All-American

Ball State University senior first baseman Brad Miller was named to the All-American Second Team squad last week by the American Baseball Coaches Association & Rawlings.

Miller is the fifth second team All-American in Ball State history and the third to receive the honor from the ABCA. The other two are Larry Bigbie in 1999 and Brad Snyder in 2003. Bryan Bullington was a First Team selection in 2002.

Previously, Miller was named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Mideast Region First Team. He is one of five Mideast Region players to earn All-America honors.

Miller was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 18th round of the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft.
