Dear Editor,
In response to your Tuesday editorial "Not quite 'Everything you Need,'" you might pause to reconsider the qualitative merit of the superb collection of the Ball State University Museum of Art relative to the offerings of the food court at the Atrium.
Then ask yourself which you might choose to put forth as broadly representative of the excellence of the university as a whole.
Symbols are extremely important, and often emotionally loaded. Although I had nothing to do with the selection of the background for the recent television advertising campaign, the Museum of Art is unequivocally one of Ball State's unique assets - and one that distinguishes it from other universities.
As to the number of students familiar with the staircase at the museum, our annual attendance is 25,000 - a number composed largely of Ball State students. It is a number well in excess of the university's current registration.
