Ball State University placekicker Brian Jackson was named Mid-American Conference West Division Special Teams Player of the Week.
The junior kicked the game-winning 30-yard field goal in the fifth overtime against Western Michigan Oct. 8 to end the MAC's longest game ever. Jackson also kicked a 28-yard field goal and six extra points before his game-winning kick.
Jackson has so far connected on four of six field goal attempts this season and has kicked a total of 27 in 38 attempts during his first three years. He's also connected on 10 of 11 extra point attempts this season and 58 of 61 for his career.
He's only 12 successful field goals away from having the third-most in school history.
