For the second time this season, Matt Laramore was named Tuesday as Mid-American Conference Player of the Week.
The senior's selection marks the ninth time in 12 weeks a Ball State player earned player of the week honors. Laramore also won on March 22. Matt Baccarani, Klint Knable, Paul Newman and Patrick Thompson have also earned the honor this season.
Baccarani's 7-5, 7-5 victory Saturday over Western Michigan's Jose Orozco secured Ball State's 4-3 victory, which clinched a share of the school's 18th MAC title.
The Cardinals (17-8, 4-0 MAC) face Northern Illinois at home Saturday in their final regular-season match. The MAC Championships are April 28-30 in Kalamazoo, Mich.
