FOOTBALL Senior Justin Riley signs with Chargers

The Ball State football team has now seen two of its seniors sign free agent contracts in the NFL.

Justin Riley signed with the San Diego Chargers after he was invited to their Rookie Orientation Camp on a tryout basis.

The 6-2, 249-lb. linebacker ranked third on the team in tackles this past season with 83. He had a career-high 11 tackle performance in a night game against Indiana State. He also tallied 10 tackles in games against Missouri and Western Michigan.

Lineman Joel Hofmann was the first to sign a contract when he agreed to terms with the St. Louis Rams
