Melissa Roach was named to Second Team All-Mid-American Conference for the second time in her career at a banquet in DeKalb, Ill., this weekend.
Roach was named to the second team in 2002 and the first team last year.
Roach went 21-12 in singles over the season, including a 11-8 record in the regular season. She came on late in the MAC, winning five of her last six singles matches in conference, including the Cardinals-only singles win against No. 53 Marshall and Miami.
Roach's third All-MAC honor puts her in an exclusive club among Ball State players. Only Lisa Drewitt, Libby Gerdubg, Gena Tranquada and Lori Hill have have been named to the All-MAC teams three times.
Roach has played four years at Ball State, including three in the top singles position. Her 97 career wins place her second all-time for the Cardinals, behind only Lisa Drewitt.
