WOMEN'S BASKETBALL Endress named team MVP at banquet

The Ball State women's basketball held a banquet in honor of the 2003-2004 season this past weekend, with several awards being handed out.-รก

Seniors Leah Boehme, Johna Goff, Julie Just, Erica Sutton and Jessica Reiter were honored for their careers.

Junior Kate Endress won the team's most valuable player award as well as the offensive award. Endress averaged 18.8 points per game with a field goal percentage of 48 percent this season.

Reiter received three awards: the rebounding award, Cardinal pride award and "Big Swole" award. She ended the season averaging 10.3 rebounds and fell only seven short of 1,000 rebounds in her career.

Other seniors earning awards were Goff with the playmaker award and just with the charge award and free throw award. Sophomore Dana Collins was given the 3-point offensive award.

Two freshmen were awarded for their defensive presence: Kelsey Corbin and Tina Bolte were presented with the lockdown award. Corbin was also named the team's most improved player.
