Greek Week ends with celebration of chapter achievements

Ball State's fraternity's and sorority's gathered in Emens Auditorium to celebrate the finale to Greek Week Sunday night. Grand Chapter featured awards to the chapters who have had great achievements and people who stand out because of their hard work.

Alpha Chi Omega sorority member Laurel Peffer won Greek Woman of the Year and Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity member Ben Tietz won Greek Man of the Year.

Outstanding new members were FIJI member Frank Blair, Kappa Delta's Michele Faroh and Delta Sigma Theta's Euliza Gates.

Alpha Chi Omega member Betsy Fenn and Delta Tau Delta member Dave Frye won Outstanding President for their terms in 2003.

Greek Week King went to Jonathan Downing, Theta Chi and the Queen was Stephanie Coomes, Pi Beta Phi.

The Greek Achiever Award was Chris Kurtz of FIJI and Melissa Kish of Pi Beta Phi.

The outstanding chapter adviser was Sigma Alpha Epsilon's Tony Kerins.

Chapters receiving Excellence in Scholarship are: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Omicron Pi, Alpha Phi Alpha, Chi Omega, Gamma Phi Omega, FIJI and Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Chapters that received Excellence in Chapter Management were: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Omicron Pi, Delta Zeta, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Sigma Nu and Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Excellence in Membership Development went to: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Omicron Pi, Chi Omega, Kappa Alpha Theta, Kappa Delta, FIJI and Sigma Nu.

The Excellence in Outreach went to: Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Sigma Gamma Rho and Sigma Nu.
