Radio station ownership passed to BSU

Ball State bought the FM radio license from the Federal Communications Commission to upgrade the student-managed station WCRD-FM.

Ownership of 91.3 FM was transferred from the Muncie Community Schools to Ball State by the FCC.

Nancy Carlson, Department of Telecommunications chair, said the department plans to add a new antenna and transmitter.

Students can listen to the Ball State station on the Internet at web.bsu.edu/wcrd.
