Dear Editor:
I am not a person who is easily offended. In fact, much of the great comedy and art that exists is at least somewhat shocking and controversial. However, Ben McShane's latest "article," in which he compares no longer being able to stomach eating beef to the pain suffered by those with testicular cancer, is completely tasteless.
Making light of something like testicular cancer has about as much class to it as making fun of a child for crying because one of its parents died. If "your genitalia define(s) you," as McShane states, he must be greatly lacking. If this was the best analogy that he could come up with, he seriously needs to reconsider his future as a journalist, or even writing for an audience again, period.
