LETTER TO THE EDITOR Football games lack student attendance

At last Saturday's home football game, I commented, "What a disappointing turnout by BSU students." I was sitting next to a group of recruits, and all they could say is they had more students at their high school game the night before. Where is your support and school pride? Believe it or not, your schoolmates and friends are marching, cheering, dancing, singing and playing their best out there. And you get in free! Why not be out on a beautiful day having a great time and watching your team win? Not everyone was catching up on classwork. I want to say to all of those who worked hard to perform -- the band, cheerleaders, flag corps, Code Red, Charlie Cardinal, the baton leader and, of course, the players -- thanks for your efforts; they are appreciated.

It was pretty sad to look across the field at the student body section only to see almost every seat empty. Way to go BSU students.
