Both of Ball State's men's and women's basketball teams fell short in the recent NCAA Tournament selection process. Both teams however, earned a bid to the 2002 National Invitational Tournaments. On the same token, both teams will also host first round games.
The men's team, 20-11, will take on South Florida at 7 p.m. at Worthen Arena on Tuesday. South Florida is 19-12 overall and finished third in the Conference USA National Division standings with an 8-8 conference mark.
The women's team, 23-7, will host Louisville on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the first round of the Women's National Invitational Tournament. Louisville is 17-12 overall after falling to Cincinnati in the Conference USA Tournament March 2.
For the men's game, tickets for the will be $4 for Ball State students and $10 for all others. There will be no shuttle bus service or reserved, but parking for the game in the Worthen Arena lots will be free.
For the women+â-¡s game, tickets will $6 for adults and $4 for Ball State students.
