Olympic Park: You'll want a seat belt

Utah Olympic Park holds bragging rights to one of the world's fastest sled tracks of its kind. The combined bobsleigh, luge and skeleton track in Park City, Utah is 24 miles from the Olympic Village. Sled speeds reach up to 90 mph and impact riders with forces up to four Gs. The venue allows more than 15,000 spectators to experience, in person, these Olympic competitions. Speed is not the track's only claim to fame. It is also one of only 12 certified, refrigerated tracks worldwide on which skeleton, bobsleigh and luge races may take place. The skeleton event is making its first appearance in the Winter Games this year, after a 54-year absence.
