The reasons for Ball State University's offensive resurgence can be debated, but its hard to argue that anyone has benefitted from it more than wide receiver Briggs Orsbon. Orsbon, last year's leading receiver, caught only three passes in the first two games of the season as the young offense floundered.

Ball State considers supporting sorority housing

Ball State University has started to bend the rules on sorority housing. Since the 1950s, a pact of sisterhood kept sororities from building houses until every chapter on campus could afford it. However, when five sororities suites were torn down during the DeHority Complex redesign, accommodations for sorority housing had to be made.

Ivy Tech to construct new campus along I-69 in Anderson

ANDERSON (AP) - Ivy Tech Community College plans to build a new central Indiana campus along Interstate 69 in Anderson. School and city officials announced Tuesday that the new $20 million campus would be built on a 40-acre strip of farmland near the exit for Indiana 9 into the city.

Officials at Ball State University say they were surprised by the grade the university received from the Sustainable Endowments Institute's annual report. So shocked, in fact, that Robert Koester, director of Center for Energy Research/Education/Service, has set up an appointment with the company later in the week to review the score.

Indiana governor alarmed about state revenue

Indiana revenue for September was $166 million short of a May forecast that lawmakers and Gov. Mitch Daniels used to put together a new two-year budget. Tax collections are down by $254 million for the first three months of this fiscal year.
