POWERFUL solar flare belched at Mars rover Curiosity

The coronal mass ejection sent out an M1 class, or medium, solar flare from the north-east of the Sun that will hit NASA's Solar-Terrestrial Relations Observatory (STEREO B) spacecraft, the Spitzer space telescope and the rover, as well as possibly glancing off Venus and Mars, according to SpaceWeather.com.

Grad Student Takes the Reins in Disabled Student Community

Graduate student Phil Keck believes he stumbled on a goldmine when taking over as head coach of the Ball State Power Soccer team.  Ball State is only one of two universities in the country that have such a program which allows students who are wheelchair bond to participate in athletics.
