The Ball State women's volleyball team added two more players to its recruiting class with commitments from Carly Cappello and Lauren Schreiner.
The Cardinals announced the release of their schedule for the 2015 season. The schedule includes road matches against LSU, Indiana and IPFW.
Ball State has added five newcomers to its roster, four of which will be eligible to play in the 2015-16 season. Whitford said his staff did a nice job of adding competition for playing time and insurance for the inevitable, such as injuries.

The changes will include a new grandstand, press box, concessions and restrooms, as well as new landscaping. Ball Diamond featured an all-turf surface and new dugouts for this season.

The Cardinals earned the first NCAA Regional victory in school history with a win over No. 16 Notre Dame in the South Bend Regional. Ball State got there with its first Mid-American Conference Tournament title since 2010, capping a 29-23 regular season.
The current floor has been in use since the doors to the gym opened in 1991. Ball State is putting in a new maple floor as part of a repair and replace system in which the university saves money for athletic facilities.
Ball State sophomore Alex Call has been named to the Capital One Academic All-District Five Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
