VIDEO: Ball State to reduce speed limits on campus

Soon the campus will be slowing down and new speed reductions will be changing on the major roads of campus.  McKinley, Neely, Riverside, University  and Talley avenues will all be reducing their speed limits from 30 to 20 miles per hour. Jim Lowe, associate Vice President for Facilities Planning and Management says the lower speeds will help enhance a driver’s perception of the road and will help prevent accidents. “The 10 mile per hour decrease increases your zone of vision by four times.

John Kaufeld, a Ball State alumnus, took to Cardinal Hall at 7 p.m. on Jan. 31 to speak as a part of Excellence in Leadership's workshop series. Kaufeld is an entrepreneur and best-selling author of some of the "... For Dummies" books that focus primarily on computers and technology.

With everything going on, some may experience an inability to focus, inconsistent behaviors and irritability or mood swings. These may be signs of a bigger issue: undiagnosed adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Room and board rates go up 2.9 percent for 2016-17

Room and board costs increased 2.9 percent this year, with rates for 2016-17 starting at $8,715. Bernie Hannon, vice president for business affairs and treasurer, said there are multiple factors that go into what the pricing will be each year.

Internet reacts negatively to Fine Bros.

In an announcement video for a new partnership deal, React World, which was meant to highlight how far the entertainment duo Benny and Rafi Fine, the Fine Bros, have come since their YouTube channel’s inception back in 2007, the brothers incurred the wrath of the thousands online. The uproar began shortly after the Fine Bros announced their plan to license out their REACT video series, which would allow aspiring content creators to use their brand and format for 50 percent of the monetization rights on YouTube.

Peter Molyneux Twitter hacked, emphasizes he is not retiring

In what many thought was the finale in the spectacle that is Peter Molyneux’s career in the video game industry, the figure behind the Black & White and Fable franchises, he appeared to have announced his retirement from the gaming industry via Twitter as well as the removal of his latest game, Godus, on Steam. Shortly after thanking everyone attached to Godus and attributing his latest failures in the industry to Fable 3, Molyneux’s account made yet another tweet in which he claimed to have been hacked and proceeded to debunk everything posted by the alleged hacker.
