Pruis Hall took a fantastic voyage Saturday, taking everyone in the event through the history of Black dance and style step-by-step. Back in Black: The Fuzion presented a progression of Black dance and fashion of the 70s, 80s and 90s with traditional modeling and dances from each time period.

Celebrating Muncie Gras

Thousands gathered on a two block stretch of Walnut Street to pretend it was Bourbon Street. Several tents with dance floors, bars and disc jockeys encouraged the crowd to go crazy. Yet the night was relatively tame.

MEN'S BASKETBALL: Second half woes do not prevent Cardinals' victory

The pattern has been pretty simple the past two games for the Ball State University men's basketball team: strength in the first half, weakness in the second half. The Cardinals traveled to the University of Toledo on Wednesday and took a 33-26 lead going into halftime before their second-half defense sputtered in a 71-67 loss to the Rockets.

WOMEN'S GOLF: Cards ready to play in historic season-opening tourney

The Ball State University women's golf team will look to get off to a great start in the spring season this weekend at the largest invitational in NCAA history. Ball State will compete in the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate, which is a tournament of 46 teams, beginning Sunday.

BASEBALL: Cards leave with disappointing split

A 14-7 loss on Sunday left a bad taste for the Ball State University baseball team after its opening-weekend series with Furman University. The Cardinals split the four-game series, losing 4-3 in 10 innings on Friday and sweeping Saturday's doubleheader. Ball State won the first game 9-7 in 11 innings and 14-4 in the nightcap.

Snow and ice didn't keep crowds from celebrating the eighth annual Muncie Gras like it was New Orleans. Heated tents and downtown bars offered revelers a little warmth as they ducked between belly dancing and drag shows.

MEN'S TENNIS: Singles play dooms Ball State vs. Michigan State

After winning the doubles point the Ball State University men's tennis team looked set to pull off the upset victory against Michigan State University on Saturday. It did not happen though, as the Spartans took five of the six singles matches for a 5-2 victory.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Cards ready for final stretch of MAC games

Ball State University women's basketball team heads back in to division play as the Cardinals travel north to take on Central Michigan University at 2 p.m. Sunday. Ball State (17-8, 9-2 MAC) has five games remaining in the regular season schedule, all against teams in the Mid-American West Division, who they have played once this year.

MEN'S BASKETBALL: Cards survive second-half scare to win BracketBusters

The Ball State University men's basketball team was able to overcome a 3-for-20 second-half shooting performance from the field today to defeat visiting Tennessee Tech University 59-55 for the Cardinals' first-ever win in the ESPNU BracketBusters event. After leading 32-19 going into halftime, Ball State (12-13) didn't hit a field goal in the second half until a 3-pointer from freshman guard Randy Davis came with 12:03 remaining in the second half.
