Custom earbuds, earplugs for sale today

The Ball State Audiology Clinic will be selling custom-made earbud adapters and musician's earplugs from 8 to 10 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. today and from 8 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday. Custom-fitted audio products can help relieve ear pain and decrease the chance of permanent hearing loss caused by an improper fit, according to the press release.

All slates fined during election

Before the polls closed Tuesday evening, all three Student Government Association slates had been fined for campaign violations. Cardinal Collaboration and University Coalition were fined for sending e-mails to students through Gradebook, and Cardinal Impact was fined for posting fliers in an area prohibited by the Election Code, Elections Chair Marco Pretell-Vazquez said.

THINK TO EXIST: Birthday party leads to night of shenanigans

So there I was, flabbergasted by what was taking place. I was celebrating a friend's 21st birthday. There were 10 of us: five boys and five girls. The scene was Broad Ripple. The night was entertaining, but it ended with the birthday girl getting hurled on by one of our friends.

Candidates seek voters on last day

With Student Government Association elections closing today at 6:45 p.m., all three presidential candidates said they were happy with how the election season has gone and felt confident. Cardinal Impact presidential candidate Beth Cahill said she and the other members had their last speaking engagements Monday night at Pi Beta Phi sorority and Botsford/Swinford Hall floor meetings.

Sen. Richard Lugar to be Commencement speaker

Sen. Richard Lugar will be Ball State University's Commencement speaker this May, according to a press release. Lugar, the Senate's ranking Republican, was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 1976 and won a sixth term in 2006 with 87 percent of the vote, according to his Web site.

Cardinal Impact wins SGA election with 56 percent of the vote

Cardinal Impact has been elected to represent Ball State University students next year in Student Government Association. Cardinal Impact received 56 percent of the total vote, over University Coalition (26 percent) in second place and Cardinal Coalition (18 percent) in third place.

Ten business scholars have forged close bonds through programs in and out of the classroom during the first year of the Business Scholars and Honors Programs. Twenty-three incoming freshmen were invited to apply for the Business Scholars program last semester and 10 were chosen.

Travelling to the Austin Peay Invitational in Clarksville, Tenn., wasn't far enough for the Ball State University baseball team to escape cold, wintry weather. Muncie girl scout troops will receive help selling their girl scout cookies from Kappa Delta sorority Tuesday and Thursday. Members from Kappa Delta will set tables up from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Teacher's College Lobby, the Arts and Communication Building and the Business Building's first floor lounge, Lauren Schneider, Kappa Delta vice president of public relations said.

Tony Farmer wants you to know the truth

Tony Farmer got out of his seat after Robert Kennedy Jr.'s speech Feb. 18 with the intention of asking the famous environmentalist a question. Farmer stood in line and waited his turn. He knew Ball State University President Jo Ann Gora, famous donors and important decision makers were in attendance that night and were closely watching those who questioned the guest speaker.
