Ball State professors reflect on their experiences in the LGBTQ community.

It’s the first day of classes at Ball State. Leo Caldwell, assistant lecturer of media design, is ready to welcome a new group of students to his classes, prepared to teach them all he knows about journalism and design. Students file into the classroom, filling the empty desks around the room and preparing themselves for what they are about to learn in Caldwell’s class.  However, during Caldwell’s introduction, he includes a detail students may not know about him — Caldwell is transgender.

Sparks, Sellers lift Cardinals past Eagles

Freshman guard Jaylin Sellers scored 12 points in 25 minutes off the bench, including a stretch of eight consecutive points. With three minutes and 12 seconds remaining in the second half, Sellers intercepted an Eagles pass and threw down a breakaway dunk on the other end.

Rotated Cardinals sweep Quincy

In what head coach Donan Cruz said was a recovery-focused move, the Cardinals played a heavily rotated lineup. Junior setter David Flores and junior libero Sammy Adkisson each made their first starts of the season.

Since the summer of 2017, Twisted Twigs has been offering crystals, handmade oils, dried herbs, incense, and other homemade apothecary items to their customers. The shop is nestled amongst residential houses on Main Street in Anderson, Indiana, and is owned and operated by two witches: Brytneigh Burgess and Kinsley Elsten.
