Occupy Wall Street shows muscle, raises $300K

NEW YORK — The Occupy Wall Street movement has close to $300,000, as well as storage space loaded with donated supplies in lower Manhattan. It stared down city officials to hang on to its makeshift headquarters, showed its muscle Saturday with a big Times Square demonstration and found legions of activists demonstrating in solidarity across the country and around the world.

ATHENS, Ohio – Having escaped the shadow of its own goalposts, Ohio was driving past midfield. Down three points late in the fourth quarter, the Bobcats were moving the ball well and were fast approaching field goal range. Running back Donte Harden had just squirted past the first down marker when defensive end Ryan Hartke caught up with him.

ATHENS, Ohio – Steven Schott kicked a 27-yard field goal 25 seconds into the fourth quarter to give Ball State a 23-20 lead against Ohio, and the defense made it stand up for the Cardinals fourth victory of the season.

SANAA, Yemen — American drone strikes in southern Yemen have killed nine al-Qaida-linked militants, including the media chief for the group's Yemeni branch and the son of a prominent U.S.-born cleric slain in a similar attack last month, government officials and tribal elders said Saturday.

Sprint customers line up as it gets 1st iPhone

NEW YORK — Apple stores got the longest lines as the new iPhone model launched Friday, but there were lines at Sprint stores too, as the carrier got a chance to sell the phone more than four years after the first model was launched.
