ZUVER: A dysfunctional day from the dysfunctional Indianapolis Colts franchise

“We cultivate winning cultures, we cultivate toughness, we live by integrity, and we don’t expect any more than we expect from ourselves.” Colts Owner Jim Irsay’s message to the media after one of the most chaotic days in the franchise's rich history. Let's forget Monday for a moment. This entire season has been a masterclass on dysfunction in the NFL. Let’s just take the last three weeks, to keep it concise.

Yorktown football Defeats Norwell in sectional championship

“I'm so excited for our kids and for our program,” head coach Mike Wilhelm said. “We talked with this group about being champions months ago, because we knew we had the ingredients to be a championship team. But we had to grow and we learned from our losses and from some of our weaknesses throughout the year. I think we corrected those and that's how you become a championship team.”

ZUVER: It Can’t Be Time to Believe Again, Can It?

How are we supposed to feel?  It's a question that Indianapolis Colts fans have been left feeling after a number of games this year. Whether it was the tie in Houston or the ugly wins vs. Kansas City and Denver, this Colts season is confusing. Sunday's game vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars was no different.

'Cardiac Cardinals' strike again

That ‘Cardiac Cardinals’ moniker popped in and out of conversations from fans as they left Scheumann Stadium. It could be heard around the team facility as players and coaches filtered out as if emphasizing the idea that this team would hang around until the bitter end.

Joel Abney originally signed his young son up for flag football, but Christian Abney begged his dad to let him play tackle. He told his dad he was ready for the next level. After talking to coaches, he switched his son to tackle.

Ball State defeats Central Michigan, wins second straight

“I’m just proud of this football team,” head coach Mike Neu said. “We talk about being the best team and the best family and we have to have each other’s back no matter how it happens but the goal is to always win by one more point than our opponent and that is what we did today.”

LOW FAN ATTENDANCE

JOSLIN: Low attendance for Ball State football needs to be fixed

I have been going to Ball State University games since I was 10. I was born in Muncie and grew up in New Castle. Ball State has been a constant in my life for as long as I can remember, and I take great pride and passion in this school and our teams.  I vividly remember the first game I saw; we were playing South Florida in October 2012. Keith Wenning and Willie Snead were tearing up the Bulls’ defense en route to a 31-27 triumph that day. That was the first time I got to experience the magic of college football, live and in living color.
