Alumna transforms love of service into restaurant

Despite a job at a “great” digital media agency in Chicago, alumna Alicia Bird missed the rush and chaos of the restaurant industry. On a cross country road-trip with her boyfriend Scott Golas, Bird decided to quit her job and buy a space in the east of Chicago. She was going to start a restaurant.

Founder of Papa Johns to speak at Spring Commencement

The founder of Papa Johns, and 1983 Ball State alumn, is set to speak at the 2015 Spring Commencement, according to the university. John Schnatter, a Jeffersonville native, majored in business administration at Ball State and was inducted into the Miller Business College Hall of Fame in 2004.



About a month ago Castrogiovanni realized the fashion show was coming up. She then decided to make the black mini skirt to go along with the blouse. When she made the skirt she didn't have a pattern, but rather a general idea of what she wanted.

Fashion student began passion sewing for doll

Editor’s note: This is a mini-series containing four stories leading up to the fashion show on March 20 at the L.A. Pittenger Student Center in the Ballroom. A sophomore apparel design major started her fashion career when her grandmother taught her how to sew clothing for her American Doll.

Sophomore earns conference award

College Sports Madness announced Ball State outfielder Alex Call has been named the Madness Mid-American Baseball Player of the Week.  In four games, the sophomore hit .267 in 16 at bats, with six RBIs.
