University updates Charlie Cardinal logo

In an effort to refresh Ball State's brand, the university has made some minor changes to the Charlie Cardinal logo. The changes includes the removal of the motion lines and deepening of the red.  "It sort of sends a subtle message that things are changing, things are improving," athletic director Mark Sandy said.

Ball State adds competition, size for next season

Ball State has added five newcomers to its roster, four of which will be eligible to play in the 2015-16 season. Whitford said his staff did a nice job of adding competition for playing time and insurance for the inevitable, such as injuries.

Ball State graduate dies in D.C. shooting

A Ball State graduate died Wednesday night in a shooting in a southeast Washington, D.C., neighborhood. Charnice Milton, 27, graduated from Ball State with a bachelor's degree in communication studies, and then earned a master's degree from Syracuse University in magazine, newspaper and online journalism. She was waiting for a bus after covering a meeting for the Capital Community News.

Ball State adds former Indiana All-Star

The Cardinals added Tayler Persons, a Kokomo native and last season's Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year, to next season's roster. Persons led Northern Kentucky with 13.1 points and 3.7 assists per game last season.

'Mad World' creators workshop musical with Ball State students, faculty

With a week to prepare for a staged reading, the writers of the new musical “Mad World” have revised scenes, added new music and even added a new character. In preparation for a staged reading on May 29 at Muncie Civic Theatre, “Mad World” creators Cristian Guerrero, Chandler Patton and Steven Schmidt traveled to Muncie from L.A.
