You can do nearly anything online nowadays, including college courses. Departments at Ball State University see online courses in different ways. Areas of study requiring more lab time and one-on-one instruction, such as chemistry and biology, view online courses differently than fields such as communication and education.

Bloomington band takes ballroom stage at Dance Marathon

Bloomington band South Jordan will perform tonight at 8:30 p.m. as part of Ball State University's Dance Marathon in the L.A. Pittenger Student Center Ballroom.  The band takes it inspiration from popular artists like U2, Coldplay and The Fray.

Local artists to come together for Haitian relief

Muncie musicians, skaters, fans and business owners will come together Sunday to support Haiti relief efforts. The Haiti Relief Show is from 1 to 10 p.m. at Solutions Ramp Park in Muncie. The show will give attendees an opportunity to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake.

Fashion Week dream realized

The lights go dim, there is silence through out the tent and in an instant and music bursts from the speakers. In four counts, the lights shine brightly and the first model steps out. The pit of photographers are adjusting their cameras to the lighting and are hoping they have it set by the time she makes it to the end of the runway. New York Fashion Week has finally begun, and an adrenaline rush is what gets everyone through this week.
