Ball State Football (4-4, 2-2 Mid-American Conference (MAC)) head coach Mike Neu held his head low walking into his post game press conference to address the media. With his hat pulled down almost covering his eyes and frequently looking down at the podium, Neu was short and to the point.

Leading up to United States Midterm Election Day Nov. 8, voter registration and turnout in Delaware County has never been lower. In fact, for the 2020 General Election, Delaware County was reportedly tied for the lowest voter turnout in the state of Indiana at 58 percent, despite having 83,661 people registered, according to data sent by the League of Women Voters of Indiana.

Dave Largent, Ball State associate lecturer of Computer Science, believes his senior year at Willowbrook High School (Villa Park, Illinois) in 1974-75 was the first year a computer programming course had ever been offered in his school. Though he said he enjoyed this course, Largent attended Manchester University where he eventually graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science in social work.

Sept. 1, Ball State Daily News Sports Editor Daniel Kehn, News Editor Kyle Smedley, Visual and Photo Editor Amber Pietz and Associate Photo Editor Jacy Bradley traveled to Knoxville, Tennessee to cover Ball State Football's contest against the University of Tennessee, in which the Cardinals fell 59-10. During the trip, the group was able to not only work at a professional level for student media, but further realized their passions in the process.

Each season, at least one of Ball State Football’s first games of the year is against a “Power-Five Conference” (Big Ten, SEC, Big 12, PAC-12 and ACC) program. To kick off the 2022 season, the Cardinals and the University of Tennessee Volunteers will square off at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee Sept. 1 in each program’s first game of the season.

Rose Sanchez is the grandmother of a Ball State freshman from Indianapolis, Indiana. While her family walked to their vehicle to grab a few more things for move-in day, Aug. 18, Sanchez waited by a cart filled to the top with everything her granddaughter packed for her dorm.

August 19, four Delaware County High School varsity football programs opened up their regular season. Muncie Central High School and Delta High School clashed in a contest that came down to the final minute, Yorktown High School picked up their first win of the season and Wes-Del was defeated in their home opener.

Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque went from being sidelined with a cardiac event to Head of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Creative and Executive Vice President of Talent Relations in less than a year. After officially retiring from in-ring competition in an interview with ESPN’s Steven A. Smith March 25, 2022, Triple H now looks to change “The Game” (get it?) in a different way.
