The Ball State University Police Department hosts a free bike registration station outside of Dehority Complex on Aug. 31. Participants got a slice of pizza for registering.
Lahody Meat is located on Wheeling Avenue; Ron Lahody; a Ball State graduate; and a US Marine Corps Vetern; owns the Lahody Meat business. The Butcher shops sells prime retail meat and cheeses.
The field hockey team defeated Ohio 4-1 in their game against Ohio on Aug. 27 at Briner Sports Complex. The Cardinals next home game is against Kent State on Oct. 6.

The Quad Bash took place on Aug. 25 in the Quad. There were free pizza, cookies, drinks, frozen treats and shirts to tie-dye. Students could also go one five different inflatable activities.

John R. Emens Auditorium underwent a $5 million, donor-driven expansion project. The renovations include relocation of the box office to an interior area, more restrooms and office/conference spaces as well as an overall larger lobby area.
The Ball State University Police Department hosted the annual Dunk-a-Cop event on Aug. 24 at the Scramble Light. This event was to raise money for Riley Hospital for Childern. Students, faculty and staff could pay $1 for three balls or $5 to automatically dunk a cop.
University Program Board hosts grocery bingo in John R. Emens Auditorium on Aug. 23, 2017. Students who won got a bag of food.
The Solar Eclipse took place on Aug. 21 at 2:25pm. Students and community members gathered on the University Green for the Eclipse Viewing Party from 2pm to 3pm. The moon covered 93 percent of the Sun.
