Ball State Women’s Basketball defeated the Troy Trojans in a thrilling 87-86 comeback performance. Worthen Arena erupted as freshman guard Zhen Verburgt made a critical three-pointer to give Ball State a one-point lead with just under six seconds remaining. Read more here
The Valentine's Day Formal was an event hosted by the English Ed Club at Ball State in the ballroom of the L.A. Pittenger Student Center and provided students with an opportunity to engage with others, sing, dance, and spend time with friends and their loved ones. The Sponsor for the club is Ball State Professor of English Pamela Hartman, and students could attend by RSVP'ing for free before the event, but walk-ins during the event were also welcome. The Valentine's Day Formal started at 7:30 PM and ended at 9:30 PM on Friday, February 6, 2026. The event held roughly 30 people, and this was the first year that the English Ed Club held the Valentine's Day Formal in the ballroom of the L.A. Pittenger Student Center.
Ball State returned to Worthen Arena Feb. 6 after a 2-game road trip to take on their conference rival Queens in the first MIVA games for the Cardinals, and the team kept their win streak of seven going as they won 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-20) and finished their fifth straight sweep.Read more here about Ball State Men's Volleyball

The Mardi Gras Meal event hosted by Ball State University Dining was on Feb. 17 from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m in the Art and Journalism Building. The event offered students the opportunity to celebrate Mardi Gras and eat food that the Atrium doesn't typically carry.
The win against NIU has given the Cardinals their third straight win and has propelled them to ninth place in the MAC. They had sat at the bottom of the standings for a month.Head Coach Michael Lewis said the team has improved all-around since the beginning of conference play. Read more here
