Muncie and Ball State community members gathered for the 16th and final Muncie Gras at Canan Commons March 25. Entertainment at the event included a mechanical bull, zip line, human bowling, the vortex, a go-go cage, The Fire Show, drag show, The Fabulous Funcie Femmes Burlesque dancers, an EDM dance tent, the Midget Wrestling Federation, fireworks and live entertainment.
Ball State mens tennis competed against Toledo March 24. The Cardinals won 5-2.

Ball State campus experienced effects from a late winter storm March 21 on the second day of spring. Ball State severe weather policy states that when temperatures fall below 32 degrees, students should stay up-to-date with on-campus information such as delays or cancellations.

Students and community members gathered in front of Scotty's Brewhouse March 17 at 9:45 a.m. for the start of the 2018 Shamrock Shuffle. All finishers receive the Excalibur Sword medal and one complimentary beer at Scotty's Brewhouse.

Ball State's womens basketball played Middle Tennessee March 15 in John E. Worthen Arena. The Cardinals won 69-60.
Students and faculty line up along McKinley Avenue March 14, National Walk Out Day, for the Ball State Walk Out in protest of gun violence. The event was organized by BSU Democrats and elementary education professor Dr. James Stroud. Stroud made orange shirts that said "#NEVERAGAIN Books not Bullets" and bracelets that said "Enough" and "Never Again". UPD estimated 500 people participated in the event that honored the Parkland shooting victims.
Students and faculty sign a beam that will be placed in the new Health Professions building on Martin Street March 13. The building is expected to be completed in June of 2019.
Five Ball State students — Grace Hollars, Josh Shelton, Samantha Johnson, Kara Biernat and Elizabeth Wyman — and professor Ryan Sparrow traveled to Pyeongchang, South Korea, to cover the Olympics from Feb. 8 to Feb. 19. In 2012, BSU at the Games was started as a way for students to travel and experience different cultures while covering the Olympics.
Students took advantage of the warm weather Feb. 27, by setting up their hammocks, flying kites and driving with their windows down.
