FIELD HOCKEY: Victory keeps Ball State playoff hopes alive as Cardinals beat the Bobcats 1-0

Ball State scored in the 59th minute to beat Ohio University 1-0 and earned its first Mid-American Conference win since 2011. Today, the Cardinals won its sixth game this season at the expense of the Bobcats for the fourth and final spot in the MAC tournament. “We have been working hard for a long time, and to finally see the reward of all of our hard work means a lot,” Ball State head coach Beth Maddox said about snapping its six-match losing streak. Ball State earned 11 penalties and four player cards in the game.

WCRD celebrates 25th anniversary by launching mobile app

Ball State’s campus radio station celebrated its 25th year of broadcasting by launching a new mobile app and free food today. WCRD began broadcasting in 1988 as an AM station with the support of Ball State alumnus David Letterman and Ball State professor emeritus Darrell Wible.



Emens goes crazy for Hunter Hayes

A sold-out crowd listened on as Hayes performed hit songs including “Wanted,” “Storm Warning” and “Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me.” He played guitar and piano during the night, but he also managed to set time aside to talk to the crowd.


Office of Student Life approves new organizations

Students will have a few more choices of groups to join as the Office of Student Life approves new organizations for this year. A student organization must apply to become officially recognized to receive benefits from the university.
