Ball State off to 2-0 start in MAC play

The Ball State soccer team is now 4-0 in its last four Mid-American Conference openers. Ball State won against Eastern Michigan on Sept. 25, and defeated Bowling Green on Sept. 27 for a 2-0 start in MAC play.

Ball State remains tough in must-win situations

The Ball State women's volleyball team started out Mid-American Conference play on the right foot with two wins this weekend. Neither win came easily, however, as Ball State won both matches — against Toledo and Akron — in five sets.

Ball State gains 181 rushing yards on country's No. 10 defense

Coming into Ball State's road contest with No. 17 Northwestern, it looked as if the Cardinals' offense would be in for a long night. Ball State controlled most of the first half, however, and the offense gained 359 yards — 181 on the ground — against the nation's No. 10-ranked defense in a 24-19 loss. 




In College and Living in Poverty

An increasing number of college students can’t afford nutritious food. One Ball State organization tries to fix the food insecurity problem in Muncie by starting its own food

Students, Muncie residents learn what it's like to live in poverty

One local non profit organization wants to shed light on everyday living in poverty. TEAMwork for Quality Living hosted a poverty simulation on Sept. 25, that put local Muncie community members and Ball State students in the shoes of someone who lives in poverty everyday.
