Men's volleyball to take on in-state rival IPFW

The 10th-ranked Ball State men’s volleyball team will travel to Fort Wayne Wednesday night to take on Indiana University-Purdue University-Fort Wayne in the “old I-69 rivalry.” In the last game between the two schools on Feb. The Cardinals (15-5, 8-1 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association) swept IPFW (5-12, 0-7 MIVA)  in three sets. In the win, junior outside attacker Mike Scannell led the Cardinals with 10 kills.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama nominated federal appeals court judge Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court. The pick sets up a confrontation with Republicans who say they will refuse to consider his nomination in an election year.

Cardinals win 20th game in double overtime, advance in CIT

For the first time in 14 years, Ball State notched 20 wins in a season after beating Tennessee State in double overtime, 78-73. The win also advanced the Cardinals to the second round of the CollegeInsider.com Tournament. Tennessee State kicked off the game with a 20-3 run.
