CommCenter Catch-Up: Don’t Miss a Beat!

With the busyness summer can bring with work, summer classes, and quality time with friends and family, it’s easy to miss some important announcements from Ball State’s Communication Center! This week’s catch-up highlights include Music for All on campus, Ball State’s new Civic Studies minor, and applications for the Pepsi Grant.

Music for All on campus June 20-29

From June 20-29, Ball State will host the Music for All Summer Symposium, welcoming approximately 1,000 guests to our campus. Expect increased foot traffic and lunch crowds between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at both the Student Center Tally and North Dining.

Ball State’s New Civic Studies Minor

Ball State’s Center for Economic and Civic Learning continues to launch a Civic Studies Minor, a program designed to empower students from all majors with the knowledge and skills to advance our democracy and live a meaningful life. The minor is flexible and customizable, with options that work alongside any degree. No prerequisites are required, and students can begin at any point in their academic career.

Pepsi Grant

Applications are being accepted for the Pepsi Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavor Grant for Fall 2025. This is a new opportunity for students to do a one-semester research or creative project under the mentorship of a faculty member of their choice, with $1,000 in support. Application deadline is July 15, 2025.
