Baseball defeats Butler at home

Coming off a Mid-American Conference (MAC) series win, Ball State Baseball continued to shine in its mid-week matchup against Butler.

In the first inning, Ball State allowed four runs but answered with eight of its own.

The Cardinals would score another eight runs in the third inning, alongside three in the fifth and one in the sixth. 

The mercy rule was enacted at the bottom of the seventh inning and the game was finished. 

Ball State walked away with a 24-7 win, its 28th overall this season. 

The Cardinals will remain in Muncie to face Central Michigan University May 10 at 3 p.m.
