Muncie Mission kicked off this year with a new merger that serves women.

Starting Jan. 1, Beauty for Ashes, a transitional housing facility in Alexandria, Indiana, began operating with Muncie Mission under a single board of directors, according to a press release.

The decision was made based off a growing need for women's services in East Central Indiana.

Now, Beauty for Ashes employees are Muncie Mission employees, but will still continue to operate out of the facility in Alexandria.

Muncie Mission CEO Frank Baldwin still serves in his position in the merger. Marie Seitz, the former Executive Director of Beauty for Ashes, is the program director for the merger’s Women’s Transitional Housing program.
