Rain returns as early as Wednesday afternoon

NewsLink Indiana Weather

MUNCIE, IN (NewsLink Indiana) -- After enjoying nearly a week of sunshine and warm temperatures, rain finally returns to east central Indiana. Clouds will start to build into the region in the afternoon hours on Wednesday, making what started as a partly cloudy day, mostly cloudy by the afternoon and evening. Some scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday afternoon and evening as well. These chances will increase as we head into Thursday, as rain and storm chances become likely throughout the day. Rainfall for Thursday is forecast to be near an inch in places across the region, on the higher side if you get hit by a heavier thunderstorm. This rain will linger into Friday morning, before the clouds start to move out by Friday evening, leading to a sunny weekend. The temps will cool off following the rainfall, but will rebound back into the 70s by Sunday. Following the nice weekend, rain chances return late on Monday and look to last into Tuesday, as temps continue to hover in the 70s. Stay dry Ball State!

As a side note, I would like to take some space here to write a bit more personal of a message. I have been forecasting for NewsLink Indiana for the past 5 years and have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful future media professionals during my time here. With graduation coming in May, my time with the program has come to an end. I have never regretted a second of it. At no point in time has NewsLink had so many resources open to them and the ability to do as much as they do now. The equipment is only a small piece of this, the talent I see from students at Ball State and the passion they have is like no other. The future of NewsLink is very bright, and I will certainly miss this great group of people. As I head toward the future, I will always say that I was a member of NewsLink Indiana with pride.

For anyone that wishes to keep up with me following graduation please feel free to follow my twitter, @MikeBehrensWX, or my Facebook page HERE.
